Today is the first official day of senior projects! Yay! I spent the morning planning my week in New York and confirming my reservations with New York City Photo Safari then I headed off to school for the afternoon to take my final math test! Next week I will be exploring New York and participating in the following workshops:

            Monday 4/11
-     Grand Central Terminal: For this workshop we will be taking photos of NYC’s Grand Central Terminal. We will experiment with a slow shutter speed to capture movement of people (*with tripod). We will also have the opportunity to take a picture of the main floor from 100 ft above ground.
-       Brooklyn Bridge: This workshop is a walking tour of the Brooklyn Bridge to capture the bridge itself as well as the NYC skyline and will focus on night photography.
Tuesday 4/12
-       Lower Manhattan: On this workshop we will be taking photos of the architecture of the lower Manhattan area as well as City Hall and Wall Street, including the Municipal Building, Freedom Tower, Federal Hall, and the New York Stock Exchange.
Wednesday 4/13
-       Iconic New York Part I: Iconic New York is split into different parts. In part I, we will use the subway to travel and take photos of Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Empire State Building, and Central Park all in one trip.
-       Central Park: This workshop focuses on taking photos of the environment such as the city and the land.
Thursday (4/14) will be a day for me to go out on my own photo shoots and do some photo editing as well.
Friday 4/15
-       Museum Inside Out: This photo tour will take place inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We will capture the many different artworks and architectural elements. Shooting here will offer photographic challenges such as shooting in mixed lighting conditions.
-       Iconic New York Part II: Part two consists of areas such as Times Square, the Chrysler building, Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library.
